The Certification of Local Church Ministry course qualification is for people who are serving or who are preparing to serve in a local church. It is suited for people undertaking a one-year Internship program. It gives you an excellent grounding in Bible, theology and local church ministry.
This qualification is the perfect starting point for those who are on a journey to discover their calling in God.
This course presents a ‘bird’s eye view’ of the Bible as one story. Each teaching is aimed at equipping learners with the skills and knowledge required to evaluate, communicate and apply the biblical narrative to a specific contemporary ministry context.
Following the completion of his Bachelor of Arts (Biblical Studies), Matthew assumed the Vocational Education Course Supervisor role with Harvest Bible College.

I have learned the importance of reading introductions, knowing who wrote the books and their background. That knowledge gives me a better understanding of the book now.
Having gone through the lesson I can correlate or link the scriptures in a balanced way for myself and sharing with others especially as a teacher and a pastor of a church. It is very helpful and I’m really thankful.
The introduction to biblical has really open my mind, and now am looking forward to study a lot to be rooted in the word of God.

I have leaned how history and culture of original audiences affected the understanding and appreciation of a biblical passages. Now I also have understanding and analyse according to the biblical passages.
I thank Axx for I have learned not to take one verse and make a sermon and I am done. Now I know the importance of knowing the background or history of some verses before preaching about them. Actually I now know I have to read the whole chapter not one verse and preach about it. It helps me preach with understanding not to give people my opinions.

I thought this course was very thought-provoking. I especially liked the lesson about how we need to proclaim the good news in a different way rather than just washing it down. It really resonated with me.
Knowing and understanding God’s plan from the very beginning of the book of Genesis and after the fall of man is so amazing. God by His divine and master plan makes the church and the individual that trusted Him to be partakers of His something big. It was a very interesting course, i learnt a lot about being the church and the importance of discipleship and caring for not only the people outside the church but the individuals in the church. There were a few statements and things i didnt believe, but for me that was encouraging because it meant that i was forming my own opinions on things and wasnt just piggy backing off someone elses view of the bible but the the truth from the bible. thankyou i learnt many things.
I have been a Christian since August 1988 and held leadership roles in Zimbabwe such as Elder / Deacon . Currently we are base in ACT and our Church Reformed Church International Australia has been launched JULY 2017 and we have small branches in ACT , QLD, WA and Sydney. As elders/ deacons we are caring the gospel forward since no resident minister of religion has not arrived yet. The knowledge gained in this course will empower me to teach and preach the truth from the word with The Holy spirit leading the way . In addition to being an avid steam engine enthusiast with YouTube channel ‘symphony of steam’, Tex is an authority on Christian worship.

The indispensability of the Holy Spirit in our life, ministry, evangelism is critical. This is because we are dealing with two kingdoms and two powers that are opposed to each other. The Holy Spirit is poured to believers to spiritual gifts given.
