Part Two of this course looks in depth at the development of the Christian Church throughout the last five hundred years – covering the Reformation, the Enlightenment and the more recent developments and movements that have affected the Church we minister in today.

It was a journey which was so educative and with great lessons to learn.
I have learnt that in the early church as well today’s church we meet challenges. Leadership has to take bold decisions to end those challenges , and evil powers through the help of Holy Spirit. Jesus is connected to church and its expansion.
The course was very educative and giving broad knowledge on the book of acts.
This study has really helped me especially in the area of resolving internal problems of the church. It has brought forth some light in the choosing of leaders to help run the church so that as a pastor I may concentrate on Prayer and the ministry of the word.
No matter how devil will interfere or hinder or block the work of God always there is success at long last.
Listening to intently, my life being tremendously impacted. I teachings have not left me the same. My view of the new testament, the book Acts in particular, the lesson from witnessing how God is working with His servants is exemplary. Thank You
Grant Buchanan walks us through the development of the church and the theology that has undergirded movements and trends of the global & local church. He also takes a look at new and emerging philosophies that are developing in the church today.
Prior to Bible teaching, Grant served as a full-time pastor and school chaplain. Although a lecturer in theology and biblical studies with a focus on Pauline theology and the Gospels, Grant also operates as a professional counsellor and is working towards the completion of this Doctor of Philosophy by exploring a pneumatological reading of Galatians in light of 6:15 and the impact this has on Christian identify.

Grant Buchanan walks us through the development of the church and the theology that has undergirded movements and trends of the global & local church. In part two of the course he discusses major contemporary factors such as leadership, church health, evangelism and mission.

Dr Barry Chant evokes consideration to the gravity of the Holy Spirit at work throughout our history, both old and new, near and far and how the Holy Spirit is in the smallest details of the ministry in the past century.
Well known Statesman of the Australian Pentecostal Church, Dr Barry Chant, takes us through the various movements and ministries that form the foundation of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the past century.
Barry was the founding president of Tabor College (Australia), a multi-denominational charismatic ministry training institution with campuses in Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Hobart and Sydney, teaching to doctoral level and training men and women for ministry, missionary endeavour and counselling. Today he specialises in: writing children’s stories, motivational and devotional books, historical research of the Australian Pentecostal movement, preaching and teaching, prophetic ministry, and playing an average game of tennis.
My understanding has really been enlightened and impacted by these lectures.
