The Certification of Bible and Theology qualification is for people who want a clear, systematic and thoughtful approach to understanding God and the scriptures.
Understanding the Bible and Theology is an important part of your relationship with God. It gives meaning to your faith, enabling you to deepen your understanding of who God is and breathing new life into how we live in the real world.
This qualification will give you the foundational knowledge and skills needed to understand the Old and New Testaments. It also builds a base of theological knowledge which gives the learner the confidence to go further in their understanding of God.
The Certification of Bible and Theology is part of the Axx Bible and Theology stream. This stream is a systematic approach to understanding the Bible and Theology. It starts through building a foundation of introductory concepts and grows into discussing some of the most interesting doctrines about God.
This Course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to defend the authority of the Christian scriptures and to correctly interpret them and apply their message to contemporary ministry contexts.
Following the completion of his Bachelor of Arts (Biblical Studies), Matthew assumed the Vocational Education Course Supervisor role with Harvest Bible College.
Matt has helped me in understanding how to read, study interpret and explaining the scripture within the context of the author and finding meaning in my current context, his simple way of explanations used is soo very relevant for application, the understanding that scriptures are for all and that the bible is sacred text that was formed through Natural inspiration, divine direction, conceptual inspiration ,verbal plenary and also through dynamic, has made it easy to learn, understand and further explain to others.
I have also understood how the different translation came to be, from the three Initial languages Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, to the current diverse languages of the world without loosing the original meaning. The other key issue I have learnt is how to interpret and communicate the same message within the intended context without loosing the objective of the authors.
With this and more I have learnt ,am helped in becoming a better Bible student and future teacher.

It is a good biblical course ,very interesting and unique informative. I have learnt a lot about biblical narratives and how to go about bible stories.
I was able now to understand the many and different genres in bible and how they fit together. Now I understand the bible narrative structure well, the beginning, the middle and the end. So many biblical teachers even un educated pastors tend to preach or to teach wrong because they didn’t get knowledge in biblical studies techniques.This resulted bad effects due to the word they preach, finally their church members they miss good pastures so they run away from their churches

I learnt that we should be careful not to put our thoughts into the scriptures. We should carefully seek to understand every word written and not try to put Jesus in a part that He’s not originally is, even though we know Jesus is everywhere.

admire it; we need to understand it. In fact, the majority of people who
have an opinion about the Bible–either positive or negative–don’t
understand what it says. Such understanding is crucial because the Bible
is the Word of God, a fact that becomes especially apparent as you study
it. So we need to know how to study the Bible. That encompasses four
things: reading it, interpreting it, meditating on it, and teaching it”
For me this was profound on basis of that people read the bible just like they would read just any book without any understanding of it historical or cultural background and trying to interpret this without understand will leave you historically inaccurate , knowing the author, the audience and situations will give clear context to what is written and why it is significant.
we do however have few thing to be wary of when studying scripture and taking the context into play. inaccurate historical information , elevation of background text over it’s over it’s meaning , you, yourself becoming an encyclopedic if historical facts that will just bore people and also assuming we don’t need any historical context of background.
stepping into the words that are in the bible studying these words that are used is so important as it pieces the puzzle of the sentience together understanding the context of each word in its meaning i.e. Hebrew or Greek paints the power behind the words been written in the that time frame.
when it comes to the meaning and original intention of the writings of scripture we do not control the meaning of what is written the author does that, we are to seek meaning that is placed there by the author, there can be more than one meaning in scripture when look at thing like spiritualization, allegory or typology when reading the word

The course gives Jesus kingdom gospel an elaborated way in all four but one gospel,also understand how each writer put the subject and how to share it with our audience
I have realised that application is acting on the stipulated principles.
I have also learned that my principles will not last if I don’t apply it.
Jesus kingdom gospel is a life changing course that teaches more on the kingdom know how on Jesus and how to present it to others as fishers of Men.
